Estuary Dining Table

£0.00

A 2x1.2m dining table with waney outer edges and the Salcombe estuary recessed into the tabletop.

An accurate representation of the estuary was CNC cut in multiple layers to achieve the effect of different depths as the channel runs out to sea. The depth cuts were then all softened by hand to create a more realistic and natural-looking channel.

The estuary was then filled with blue-tinted epoxy resin with a small amount of mica powder to allow the thermal reaction in the resin to create the appearance of movement in the resin.

The table was then mounted on a clear-coated raw steel star frame base with a top frame for additional support.
