Olive Root Slice Dining Table with Olive Stump Base and Ocean Effect Surround
This stunning table was made using a large slice of olive wood and an olive tree stump for the base.
The base was installed with the wider part at the top to create an illusion that the base forms the main slice in the tabletop, this meant fixing the base into the concrete floor to prevent any movement.
The sea effect resin cast was built up in several layers to create depth and allow the added details to disperse throughout. The table is 1.6m in diameter and the protective coating was finished to a high gloss.
